Speaking about the partnership, Ryan Butler had this to say:
“Anyone who has partnered or sponsored Severn Sport over the years will know that the one thing I try to ensure is value – whether that be value for money or just the proposition that is Severn Sport.
Her Game Too have grown massively over the years and since we added Women’s football to our coverage, a partnership like this has been something I have wanted to agree for a while – but the big thing for me was how Severn Sport is best suited to be a good partner.
Thanks to the growth of the End of Season Awards, I knew that we have a female specific category, a Women’s XI of the season and we have seen a growth in representation for not only women, but girls too in the Future Star category.
So by being able to offer naming sponsorship of those two awards and XI, as well as committing to support the mission of Her Game Too in promoting equality within football in our area of Gloucestershire, we are in the best position to align together.
A massive thank you to Caz for the chats we have had to discuss the best way forward together.”
Founder of Her Game Too, Caz May, said the following about the news:
“Her Game Too’s partnership with Severn Sport and our sponsorship of three of the women’s football awards is a natural extension of our mission to promote inclusivity and visibility in the game.
By supporting platforms that celebrate female footballers and challenge discrimination, we will continue to drive meaningful change and amplify the voices of women across football in collaboration with Severn Sport.”
